Quarantine Creativity

My 13 year old niece, Lamar, came across my forgotten blog recently. She too made a contribution to our impossibles list. This is what she sent me:

Well now we're in quarantine right... People don't go out more often these days so it is always the best time to dream....

How about a smart house that can expand with a remote and provides what clubs can provide to people... All of that with a REMOTE...
I know it sounds impossible but who knows, may be it becomes possible afterall...

So PLEASE PLEASE ENGINEERS TRY TO BUILD IT BECAUSE I REALLY WANNA GO TO A CLUB :)

Its soo cold these days. My hubby is wishing for a blanket that curls up under him and around him automatically leaving no room for cold air to come in.

Impossible 13

5 months this time to get a new inspiration :). After being on vacation with many members of the family and having so many kids around. I could let my daughter stick to me all the time. That included putting her to sleeep in a diff floor in the house or a totally different house. So i was wondering if there is a way i could know if she woke up or is crying or anything happeneing out of the ordinary to her while iwas away. Then i thought what if there was a device that would send me a message telling me her status. Ie crying.. talking... anything. I know there is a baby monitor but how far could u get. Anyone knows of this invention already existing??

Impossible 12

Well its been a busy time for us here in Egypt. Peoples revolution, counter revolution, people killing people, Old regime bastards clawing their ways back into power, military with the people or against, etc

And in the mid of it all, my aunt finds out she has colon cancer. BUMMER!!

Well anyway she went and had surgery to remove around 50cms of her colon. Lucky for her, she had a longer colon than normal.. so thats a good thing.. Thanks to God for preparing her body like that.

Anyway a couple of years ago she was diagnosed with cancer and had it removed and lived cancer free for a couple of years. And now it re-appears. I know its always an inactive cell somewhere that then decides to act up whenever it pleases...And we hope for the best.

Which then made me feel like this body is a computer. You delete a virus but it leaves a trace and acts up again at some point and sometimes you just need to format your drive. I wonder why cant we have this option for human body. Imagining that each system is a drive and formatting it when we need to. WOuldnt that be cool? I mean yes sometimes we will need to install all the drives again.. but why cant we do that too with human body!

OK im blabbering here... i dont know how this could happen... i just dont know why we never tried! Or maybe someone out there did but failed.

Does anyone know anything like that for real?

Impossible 11

Ok... Yes im short. Im only 5'2. Yes i should wear high heels more often than anyone else i know.. And NO i dont like them at all and they arent my best friend.. or my friend for that matter. They just hurt me... in everyway.

Lately, i was wearing my high heel brown boots. They look good. I love they way high heels look. But i just hate how they make me feel. The middle part of my foot hurt so bad i wish i had someone give me a massage.

And then it hit me. What if we have a shoe that has this pillow like middle part the shoe has and make some kinda massaging tool. So even when you are wearing your shoe you can get a foot massage!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOh Ecstasy.
I think this is one of my fav. wished for impossibles... that can actually be VERY VERY POSSIBLE!!

Some one PLLLLLLLEEEEASE do this for us. Genius women out there working in the shoe industry! PLEASE... PLEASE.... PLEASE think about it!!

2 WEEKS... and then an Impossible 10

Its been two weeks since i thought of anything. Damn it!!

But now that i hear some voices of people who give me different feelings in general i thought of something.. JUST NOW!

I thought, what if there was something that makes some kind of aura around a person to tell us if he is good or bad. Ok it doesnt have to be black and white.. Could be an aura to show his mood now. Dark mood, bright mood, zesty mood. Something like that.
This way we can make up our mind of whether to talk to this person about a specific subject or not. Im applying this in my head on people with me at work. Whether its my boss or a common friend or someone i dont like or whatever.

Ofcouse i would like to be able to use this techno on people but not on myself!
I'd hate to be wearing my heart of my sleeve so much. Or for better lack of words... my heart on my head. (Coz thats where i imagine the colored aura would be!!)

Yeah... ok i guess i AM a bit cartoonish after all!!

But not so bad... at least i came up with an idea.

So much for your contributions that i dont get! Come on you guys. Cant believe you cant think of ONE... just ONE single thing!! WOW!

Impossible Contribution 4

I got two contributions today from a family member. And i thought they were kind of cool.

1. A human Charger. Its the kind that gives you energy. Something that would make you pretty much like the energizer bunny... You go on and on and on. Ofcourse, you can use this energy for whatever it is you wanna use it for. Some would use it to finish more work and make more money. Mothers would use it to be able to handle their kids, husbands and their house chores all together. And i bet men would think of some perverted way to use it too!! :) Im just not sure whether it will be a drink or a pill or some cable that would be plugged in through your.....ear i guess!! :)

2. Pleasure Refresher. Sometimes i wish i could get back that feeling of my wedding day. Or when i first found out i was pregnant. Or when i first looked in my daughters eyes.
Sometimes i wish i could remember or feel the same feeling i had when i first tasted some chocolate flavor, or the rush i got when i first bungy jumped etc.

How would it work? This pleasure refresher would probably either erase some of the pleasures we had so we could get that old feeling again... The feeling of a first time for everything! or...
Im not sure how else it can work really.

But anyway, i would like it alot if these inventions were real.. wouldnt you?

Impossible Nine

The Mute Bubble

Me and my colleague's desks at work are facing each other. And while im tolerant to interruptions and usually welcome the breaks when someone comes in and asks about something whether it be work related or personal... she isnt as tolerant.

She starts hushing us or straight up asks us to leave the room.
So i was thinking what we could do to help her!

And then the mute button on our TV remotes come to mind! Only this button would probably not mute us but more like deafen her.

Ok not physically ofcourse... It's not like a rod will come out of the button and poke her ear drum out or anything.. NO NO!!

But maybe something that would create a noise muffling bubble around her and anything she touches. Thats so her desk and her computer would stay in her bubble!

Im not sure if this bubble would be like some magnetic field around her that has specific attributes to keep the noise frequencies away from her or would it be a physical airbag kind of bubble!!! :) I wouldnt wanna suffocate her too!

Well its a thought. Who has ideas!!

Impossible made possible

Yesterday i found out that one of my impossible thoughts was almost made possible on a smaller scale.

I found a product on the market that allows you to attach a piece to anything you are afraid to lose, and have a beeper with you.

And if you get too far from that object it starts to beep. So you can attach this piece to your keychain forexample and if you move away from it, your beeper will go on and so does the piece on your key chain. SO you will find your keys quickly.

Thats actually not such a bad idea assuming that you are afraid to lose one or two pieces coz then you will need to have two beepers on you. So you might have beepers all over you if you have more than two objects you are afraid to lose! :)

Also provided that you don't lose your own beeper or leave it beside your keys for example!! :)

Yes... even that is a possibility.

But i think there is progress. Obviously some one else is sick and tired of losing their keys like me!

Impossible Eight

Create your outing

Sometimes i have such a hard time trying to figure out where the best place would be to go out with kids and all. And there doesnt seem to be a place safe enough or enjoyable enough for both parents and kids (except very few)

So i thought what if we could go to any empty space anywhere and create our own place to use
If we want a playground for kids..*click* and its there the way we imagine it
If we want italian food *poof* and there it is
If we want a pool.. *poof* and here it is again

Now this i can assume is the most impossible thing ive imagined so far!!

I dont even have any idea on how this would happen. Maybe we should die and go to heaven first! :D:D

Impossible Contribution 3

Asked a friend for an invention she wishes would exist. And being a person who could get asthmatic at times due to her allergy of dust and pollution she imagined a country air purifier or something that vacuums the dust from the sky before it reaches us down here in the first place!

I think thats actually a great idea especially in our country here. Maybe it could be something like these inventions they think of to enter the eye of the storm (from the movie twister)

Anyone can help with that?

Impossible Seven

Auto Stock Control Fridge

Im not sure if this is already available in the markets or not but i was thinking of it.

What if we can enter into and electronic panel on the fridge door the recipe of the dish we want to make and then it can tell us what is missing in our fridge from the ingredients required. And while we are it it... i dont wanna really write the recipe.. i just want to write the dish's name and then the fridge tells me the recipe and what is missing for it. And while we are at it too... lets just have the fridge order from the online super market (that's probably there by now) everything missing.

And i suppose if the fridge can do all that, it can also check on the inventory of the fridge daily and have that stored so whenever i want to know how much of anything i have it will just tell me instead of me looking deep inside the freezer or the fridge shelves so i can re-stock or rather i should say the fridge will restock :)

I believe that if we can do this on a fridge.. we can also do it on a deep freezer that has several drawers or a box deep freezer so we wouldn't have t open it every time in order to check if we have bread!!!

Is this already around or is it really something that i came up with??

Impossible Six

You know how sometimes your mobile totally disappears at home and you have to call yourself from someone else's mobile. Then, if you are lucky enough and your phone battery wasnt dead or you had forgotten it on silent mode, you hear it ringing under the sofa cushion or the load of quilts on your bed.

Now, dont you sometimes wish that you can ring to you car keys when you're in a hurry? or sometimes your wallet?
So i was thinking.. maybe in the future... everything manufactured would have a very small tiny inconspicous chip that would make a beeping sound once called for.

Yeah i know... how can we call for it?! Well at first i thought maybe a "Universal Remote" that has all the items you want on it... but it sounds really hard! I mean what if i wanna call for the last telephone invoice i paid!! Would all the papers in the house beep once i press the remote button? I dont know if that would work!

Maybe if everything had a key somehow. I mean an electronic code key. Then we can enter the key in the remote and hence only this item would beep. Or when we buy something we can scan its bar code ans store it in that universal remote, then look it up in the storage list and call for it by its barcode! Thats cool too!

ANd while i write this, i thought maybe we can literally "CALL OUT" that key as in sound recognition technology.... But that sounded alot better in my head.. now that i can read it!

WOW... that would be cool. So... Anyone interested to invest in this new high tech business?

Impossible Five

Memory Searcher

The brain is quite a powerful piece of work. It stores a huge amount of information.
But sometimes due to so much information you cant remember specific things you need at a special moment (like a fight). And as we callit , we try to "Squeeze" our brains but to no avail. So i thought what if we had this option of searching our brain for a specific memory. Like pressing Ctrl + F on our computers.

Im not sure how we could do that.. but i imagine it like putting something on our head that can read our memory and then press ctrl + f (find option) :)

Anyone working on this idea yet? :))

Passion Restorer

Got this contribution from my sis... She is one talented girl in several fields.
She says: "The impossible thing i'd like to invent would be a device that can restore your passions, like when u have a passion for art but just lose interest coz u r depressed
u feel u want to do it but u cant get the zest to pick up your ass and go do it, so u settle for watchiung the same boring movie u know u hate for the 15th time instead."

Yeah... i know!! But i never said i WAS the queen of hearts. I'm not sitting all day on my throne resting my feet on a pigs belly you know!! Ok Ok… I'm not that creative! i cant think of one thing before breakfast coz I'm too sleepy, or before lunch coz I'm too hungry or before dinner coz I'm too busy tucking my daughter in! Impossible Four

Lately i heard about accident in my company's warehouse due to some workers trying to get things down from high shelves in a very unsade way. So i thought of thinking of a way that can help people do their job safely.

i thought if we had a ladder like the ones for libraries that are hooked at the top and move on wheels from one side to another. And beside this ladder an dmoving with it would be a set og rails that have a basket (like th ones of kids bicycles) but bigger and stronger that would move up and down mechanically like a firefighters lift. And hence the worker would go up the ladder and press a button to bring the basket up beside him, then he would put anything he wants in the basket and then press the button to send it down while he goes down the ladder empty handed.

Now that i think of it, why not just make an elevator that lifts people up and down anyway! WOuld it be more expensive coz it will need to hold heavier things? I dont know

Does anyone know if this ladder and lift is made already by someone and that i just havent seen this idea beforE?? Do tell me! It might be one impossible... made possible!

Impossible Three

Emotion Freezer
Or should call it "our differences freezer"

I am guessing this would work best with divorced parents and their kids. WHat will it do? Ok its kind of like the memory eraser from men in black... except it just freezes any emotions of differences between people temporarily. ( i dont care if they are erased... coz sometimes its for the best)

For example.. if two divorced parents who hate each others guts have to be together in one place for the sake of their kids without making any scenes (like in the movie..That old feeling).. this would be the best invention.

Also for other occassions like your kids birthdays when two of the kids parents hate each other but the kids dont care.... How would they get together for the sake of the kids....

DING........... Emotional freezer.

EMOTIONAL FREEZER........... Buy one and get one enemy for free! :)

Impossible Two

Yesterday i was sleeping beside my almost 2 year old daughter...

And in the middle of it all i hear her giggle or whimper or call out someones name. And i cant help but wonder what she dreaming.

And then it hits me... if only we had this little machine that you can connect to her head... painlessly ofcourse and on top of her head we have a screen or maybe a hologramic image (might as well) that displays her dream. WOW.. i think thats cool!

Now while we're at it... maybe there would be a record button. Then we can use it on ourselves to remember the dreams or see them when we wake up! HAHAHA another horror movie!

I guess we can call it "Dream Catcher" but not like the movie ofcourse (EEEEW)

I am not sure whats this good for... but i sure as hell think it would be fun...Dont you think?

Impossible Contribution 1

I've already received my first impossible list today from some one close to me:
She is obssessed with her kids obviously so here we go:

1- "A mind reading machine"... for her kids... especially her son since he seems like a mystery to her. She says "I want to know how he thinks, what goes on in his mind when I want him to do something"

2-"A duplicator". She says : "I need something to make a duplicate of me, so I can be doing something with one kid in one place and doing another thing with the other one in a totally different place" Im guessing if she has more than 2 kids she will need more copies of her! :)

3- "A teleporter"... I imagine it like the ones in star trek and matrix :) She says: " I want to move from one place to another in a second. No traffic, No cars. I dont care in the air or by dispersing one's molecules or atoms, I just need to go into a machine and press a button and be in another place. I can send kids to places safely this way without the hassle of the traffic or even going out, that will be gr8.

4- Finally one from her own mystery 8 year old son. He wants a robot that can do chores and play with the kids at home. Isnt he just adorable to wanna help his mom around the house? or maybe he just doesnt wanna do his part of the chores im not sure. However i think this robot is almost invented but isnt as good and friendly as the one in "The Jetsons" yet :)
